"Yes, you'll be dead!"

"Bingi ka ba o kelangan mo lang talaga paulit ulitin yung sinabi ko ha?"
"I don't know if that's possible since I already died." she said those words as if telling him he answered 3 to a
1+1 question.
"Look," hinawakan ni Ero sa magkabilang balikat yung babae, almost losing his patience which he actually only
had few, "Ewan ko kung anong klase ng drugs ang nasinghot mo o kung sino ang naguntog ng ulo mo
ng pagkalakas sa isang pader pero isa lang masasabi ko sayo, leave me alone or tumalon ka na lang sa
building. Okay?"
Tatalikod na talaga siya to completely get the hell out of her company pero bigla nitong hinawakan ang t-shirt niya
mula sa likod stopping him, "Wait, wait! Maniwala ka naman sakin oh! I'm your guardian angel!"
"You're really pissing me off, I'm a fvcking devil so there's no way in this fvcking world that you're my
guardian angel. A devil can't have an angel, understood?"
Umiling lang ito as she bit her lower lip, Eros thought she looked like a ten year old in a body of a 17-18year old girl.
She was small compared to his height, hanggang balikat niya lang ito, "You're not a devil and I won't let you to be
one. It's my mission to save you."
"The fvck is with this mission? You've been mentioning it for so many fvcking times."
He noticed that she flinched everytime he said the "fvck" word or any cuss words like those words gonna bring any
harm to her. It's just some cussing. Psh. Eros thought irritated.
"Change you, make you believe that God do exist and He will always be there for you, put love in your heart,
make you a person full of happiness and warmth in his heart." humawak muli ito sa t-shirt niya, this time sa may
laylayan and she gripped to it tightly habang nakatungo ito, "Please help me to accomplish this mission, this is
not only for you but also for me."
He was confused.
"If ever I succeed in this mission, God will give me back the life I've lost and I really really do want to live
again so please..."
"Nahh, I don't care." tinanggal niya ng marahas ang kamay nito sa laylayan ng t-shirt niya and this time naglakad
na ito palayo sa babae, sa tingin niya kasi the more he stayed mas lalong dadami ang mga imbentong storya nung
babaeng yun.
"Change me? Make me believe there's a God? Put love in my heart? Make me a person full of happiness and
warmth in his heart? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Best joke ever, para mo na ring sinabing mabait na tao si Hitler!" he
can't help saying those in his mind.
"Eros!" narinig niyang tinatawag siya nung babae sa pangalan niya pero he just kept on ignoring her, he didn't like
wasting his precious time sa isang baliw na tulad nung babaeng iyon. but he just really wondered how she knew his
name, stalker? Creepy one, he thought.
"I can grant you a wish! Anything you wish for, you could wish for anything based on the amount of the
goodness you will be able to obtain in your heart!"
"Anything?" ewan niya pero bigla siyang napatigil sa paglalakad and got interested to that crazy topic.
"Yeah..."
"So can I wish to have superpowers and laserbeams or maybe x-ray visions?" sarcastic na sabi niya at
napatingin lang yung babae sa kanya with disbelief kaya he waved his hands at sinabing. "Yeah yeah whatever, I'm
going and don't bother me again."

He felt a sense of relief nung nakauwi na siya sa bahay ng bandang alas sais, he just spent his day smoking and
doing some stuff. Fortunately yung insane girl that claimed that she was angel ay hindi na muling nag-appear para sa
araw na iyon, he really thought she'd follow him all day long like some creepy stalker. Pwew.
Hindi talaga siya madalas umuwi sa bahay na iyon, sa bahay nila. He's not part of the family living there, he was an
adopted child. He didn't know where his real parents are or if they were still alive or they've immigrated to Mars but
like hell he cared 'bout them. Umuuwi lang siya sa bahay na iyon pag nandito si Ate Risa, of all people she's the only
person he didn't get angry or irritated at. Ganun din naman siya kay Chill, his not blood-related little sister, kadugo ni
Ate Risa. He dunno why he felt nothing unpleasant around them, maybe he had grown this sort of attachment to them
especially to Ate Risa 'coz ever since he was a kiddo she already stood up as a big loving sister to him even if she
knew so well that he is not really her real brother.
He was trying his best na umuwi sa bahay na iyon ng mas madalas especially those days, why? For Ate Risa, he
wanted to see her more... she was actually dying. Kalalabas lang nito ng hospital at ayaw nito ba bumalik pa dun
despite her very sick state. Sabi ng mga doctor konti na lang daw ang itatagal nito dito sa mundo, less than a month.
Maybe that's one of the reasons why he did not believe in a God.
"If that God does exist, why must he take the only person I care for in this world? He must know very well that my
life is already full of hate and if I lose Ate Risa then I must say that my life would not just be full of hate, but it'll be
OVERFLOWING." he thought.
... "Dashing through the snow with a one horse open sleigh, O'er the fields we go laughing all the way!

Nagpanting ang mga tenga ni Eros nang makarinig siya ng kumakanta mula sa labas ng bahay nila, nasa may kwarto
siya at nagpapalit ng t-shirt. Dafuq? Tapos na ang christmas pati new year, may nangangarolling pa? magse-2nd
week na nga ng January!
"TAWAD, POTANGINA, WALA BA KAYONG KALENDARYO SA BAHAY NIYO?! TAE, JANUARY NA! LAKAS
TRIP MO AH! PAKAMATAY KA NA, WALANG MAGAWA SA BUHAY! ISTORBO!" mula sa bintana ng kwarto
niya ay sinigaw niya yun sa kung sinuman yung nangangarolling, he did not take time to see the face ng dukhang
nangangarolling.
Tumahimik lang saglit pero biglang kumanta nanaman yung kung sinumang hampas lupa iyon.

Sa inis ni Eros, he stormed his way down to the gate of the house, picking a big stone as he passed the house's
garden, with the stone in hand winarningan niya yung nangangarolling, "Sige kumanta ka pa, itong batong ito ang
papalit diyan sa vocal chords mo."
"Hi Erosssssssssssss!" ^__________^V
"You again? How did you--- are you some sort of rare mushroom specie? Pasulpot sulpot ka, are you
stalking me you crazy girl?!!!"
"I'm not a mushroom," she pouted, "Hey hey Eros, can I come in? Please please please please?" *puppy eyes*
"You know what, I've had enough of you and your insanity, so let's test that fvcking protection thing you
said before," ihahagis niya na talaga dun sa babae yung bato sa inis niya at dahil na rin sa gusto niyang saktan at
banatan yung babae. He didn't really have the best temper in the world.
"Eros?" maihahagis niya na talaga yung bato kaso napatigil siya at nabitawan kaagad yung bato sa may sahig nang
marinig niya ang pamilyar na boses na bumanggit ng pangalan niya.
"A-ate Risa?" napalingon agad siya at nakitang palabas pa lang ng pinto ng bahay ang ate niya at papunta sa kanya
sa may gate. He guessed she did not see his attempt of ruining the crazy girl's vocal chords.
"May nangangarolling ba? January na ah?... anyway, ito yung coins oh..." lumapit sa kanya, sa kanila ng baliw
na girl sa gate si Ate Risa with the coins in her hand.
She smiled to the insane girl, "Hi, ikaw ba yung nangangarolling?"
"Hello ate ni Eros!" ^_________^
"Wow, you know me? You know Eros?" medyo nabigla si Ate Risa at kahit si Eros nabigla...
Bukod sa alam nito ang name niya, alam din nito name ng ate niya. Dafuq, nabibiglang sabi niya sa isip.
"Yup!" ^___^
Ate Risa smiled knowingly, "Are you a friend of my little brother? And you're teasing him sa pamamagitan ng
pangangarolling kunwari sa tapat ng bahay niya?"
Friend? Like he was going to be friends with an insane girl!
Hindi sumagot yung baliw na babae at tumingin lang siya kay Eros na para bang nagtatanong sa kanya kung anong
isasagot nito. Napansin naman ni Ate Risa iyon at lumipat ang tingin niya kay Eros at inulit ang tanong sa kanya, "Is
she your friend? I'd really be glad to meet one of your friends, you have never introduced anyone to me."
She looked so hopeful that it pained him to even say no to her. He knew how much Ate Risa wanted to know things
about him because they were really that close to each other kaso he suddenly became distant a lot of years ago and
he thought that she missed those times where he told her stuff about him. And having to meet a friend of his seemed
to make her happy so yeah...
"Uhh... yeah, she's my friend." he scratched the back of his head trying not to show his annoyance.
"Yehey! Girlfriend!" nagclap ng hands si Ate Risa sa tuwa.
Nanlaki mga mata niya, "Hey she's not my girlfriend, I said she's a friend!"
"Well, she's a girl isn't she? And she's a friend? Then... Girl + friend equals girlfriend?" he knew she was
teasing him, she loved to do that. And she was eager to push him to get himself a girlfriend for reals, well she had
always told him that she'd want to meet the girl he'd love someday. What a sappy sister, really, he thought. He was
just sad to say she won't meet that girl 'coz he won't ever fall inlove, love is not in his dictionary. Blood and violence
was what he was made for.
"Ate." sinimangutan niya lang ang ate niya.
Tinapik naman siya nito sa may balikat habang tumatawa ito, "Oh c'mon Eros, hindi mo ba papasukin ang
girlfriend mo?" *u*
"She's not my girlfriend," Ate Risa rolled her eyes when he repeated those words, "At hindi ko na siya papasukin
dahil gabi na, kelangan niya ng umuwi, mapanganib sa daan pag gabi lalo na pag nagiisa lang siyang umuwi,
baka mapagtripan siya ng mga asong ulol sa daan kaya HINDI NA SIYA PAPASOK SA BAHAY."
He emphasized those last words. Ayaw niyang papasukin yung baliw na babae sa bahay dahil unang una sa lahat,
HE DIDN'T REALLY KNOW HER, SHE'S A FVCKING INSANE STRANGER, at pangalawa, wala siyang panahon to
deal with her habang nasa loob siya ng bahay. She's not very welcome. -_______
"Sus, parang yun lang, edi ihatid mo siya pauwi!"
If he didn't care that much about Ate Risa baka binugbog na niya ito sa inis, nakakaiyamot ang kakulitan niya,
napaka-persistent niyang papasukin yung baliw na babaeng iyon sa gate sa loob ng bahay!
"Pero Ate Risa..." he was trying to think of excuses para pigilan si Ate Risa na papasukin yung crazy girl pero bigla
na lang siya inignore ni Ate Risa at binuksan yung gate, letting the crazy girl in.
"Pasok ka, dali halika, wag kang mahiya," hinila ni Ate Risa sa braso yung baliw na babae, "Anong name mo?"
"Eris." ^__^
"Wow! How cute! Eris ang name mo? Tapos Eros yung name nung little brother ko?" she eyed him with a glint
in her eyes, "Aren't you guys soulmates? Oh sweet things!" (.u. )
"ATE RISA!!!" ampocha, tama ba namang pagkatuwaan siya? Pasalamat siya importante siya kay Eros. -____
"Ahihihi." he glared at that Eris girl when he heard her giggle. Tatawa tawa niya? Sasapakin niya talaga ito once na
makatalikod na si Ate Risa. -___
"You want some juice, Eris? Halika dali, pasok tayo sa loob. Hey Eros, please prepare some juice and snacks
for your girlfriend." and with that ay nauna na silang pumasok sa bahay.
"Not my fvcking girlfriend." He repeated in his mind, he just can't argue with his big sis anymore. -__-
Sa inis niya, sinipa niya yung pader sa tabi ng gate. If only he didn't care for his big sister, if only she was not dying,
if only she was not happy seeing a friend even if that Eris girl wasn't really a friend of his, he wouldn't even let that
crazy girl in. He was only doing this 'coz it's what makes his big sis a bit happier after all those depressing things that
her sickness has caused and was causing her.
His foster parents and Ate Risa knew he was a rebel and they have had already experienced cops entering the house
searching for him and the such, they knew what illegal stuff he was doing and they had tried to scold, warn and talk to
him but to no avail. His foster parents had given up on him, they don't care anymore what he did pero si Ate Risa she
still kept on encouraging him to stop the things he was doing.
His big sister was a good person, no wonder he was not blood related to her, she's someone he'll never be. She's full
of love and hope in her heart and his was just an empty bloody one.
She always hoped that one day he will be able to see life in a brighter and positive way. She has always told him that
he could but he have always denied her hopes.

"Eros, can you give me some more juice? Please please please?" *u*
Gusto niya sanang kumuha ng malamig na tubig at ihagis dito, how dare her order him around? Pasalamat lang
talaga siya at nasa harap niya si ate Risa, he was trying his best just to control his temper. He didn't want to upset ate
Risa, he saw that she was happy to talk with Eris and she was already liking her. Just his luck, oh fvcking great!
"Yeah," that's all what he said at kinuha niya yung baso nito at bumalik na sa kitchen to make her another juice.
"Lagyan ko kaya ng lason ito? Wala kaming lason pero pede ko sigurong lagyan ng sabon ng pinggan yung juice
niya para instant kill. Nahh, Ate Risa will surely be angry if I do that to that Eris girl and anger might put Ate Risa's
health in a bad condition. I'd kill myself if she dies because of me. I care for my big sis that much." -__- nasabi niya sa
sarili niya as he prepares another juice.
"Hihihi!" naririnig niya yung mga tawanan nila sa may sala habang nasa may kusina siya, sumilip siya ng konti at
nakita niya si Ate Risa na nakikipagtawanan kay Eris habang nagkekwentuhan sila.
Ate Risa's smile... one of the soothing things he has ever seen in his life. Her smiles have been always genuine and
never fake, he would have surely miss those if she left them. So as long as she was there, he'd do anything just to
see those smiles kahit pa maging kunwaring kaibigan niya yang baliw na Eris na yun, he really didn't care basta
mapasaya niya lang si Ate Risa.
He really wished her illness was just a big joke, he didn't want her to die. She was too good to die, the fvck is wrong
with this world? Why are the good people dying first instead of the bad people like him?
He really really didn't want her to die... He would've done anything just to save her from death, anything...
"I can grant you a wish! Anything you wish for, you could wish for anything based on the amount of the goodness you
will be able to obtain in your heart!"
Ewan niya kung bakit biglang nagplay sa utak niya yung mga sinabi nung baliw na Eris na yun nung umagang iyon...
para bang nanadya itong umulit sa utak niya at ang nakakatuwa pa dun ay tumugma ito sa iniisip niya... para bang ito
yung sagot sa gusto niyang mangyari...
Napaisip tuloy siya,
"If she's really true, if she's really an angel who can grant me a wish, I'd be willing to get a fvcking amount of
goodness just to save Ate Risa. "
Back then he has not yet realised that that day was the day he started believing in angels.
